Physiotherapists are primary health care professionals with a significant role in health promotion and the treatment of injury and disease. They are movement specialists, who are university educated and registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Your Physiotherapist will assess your injury or dysfunction through a combination of a detailed history, detailed biomechanical assessment combined with physical testing to determine the root cause of your illness, injury or dysfunction. A variety of treatment modalities will be used to develop a client focused, individualized and goal oriented treatment plan. Treatment techniques are supported by the best available evidence and options may include any combination of manual therapy (joint mobilizations/manipulation, soft tissue release) electrical modalities, ice/heat, acupuncture, taping/bracing, individual exercise prescription and extensive education on the condition so that the client can work to avoid future issues.

Physiotherapists work with clients of all ages and with a wide range of health conditions.
